Zara Lookbook Fall 2013

today’s closetcast: empty wallet ImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImage

I just love the new Zara lookbook for Fall.

The Trafaluc collection is so reminiscent of the 90s and reminds me of back issues of Seventeen magazine when I was a tween. The granny length floral dresses, lace slip dresses, and ankle boots resemble a more refined and updated version of the wardrobe from my favorite television show when I was young, ‘My So-Called Life’.

The suiting in the Zara collection is gorgeous. The boxy swing jackets and pleated skirts seem reminiscent of Chloe collections from seasons past. While it’s never fun to have an entire closet full of clothing from one store, it will be hard to resist picking up many pieces from this Fall assortment!

What do you guys think of it?

Was planning on heading up to the city (i.e. San Francisco) this weekend to do a little window shopping, but it looks like the weather is going to be less than desirable for being outside. Unfortunately, I probably won’t make it up before Christmas arrives. I have most of my shopping done, but there is something so magical about walking through the busy streets, walking past hoards of people carrying all their shopping bags, rushing about trying to finish up their last minute “to-do’s”.

We’ve had a major cold snap this week, and while I really wanted to wear these new pants from Zara, they left my ankles with a little chill. I countered in with my oversized and super warm Uniqlo down jacket from the Jil Sander collaboration a couple years back. Still one of my favorite purchases.

Zara December Lookbook

today’s closetcast: wishlisting

Loving the new Zara Lookbook for December. Gorgeous! While Zara is super attainable, and that can be a turnoff for some, I love that most of their designs are so versatile and can be worn to fit your personality.

I am especially into the striped pants and the tartan pants and blazer set. Sort of a winterized take on the Celine Resort SS 12 floral suit that was a hit in all my favorite streetstyle shots a few months ago. Also love that slinky jumpsuit! Already got my hands on a couple of these… hope to add more and feature them very soon! Thanks for looking! XOXO
