Finally an outfit post! I know I’ve been out of the loop for a week or so, but I’m back! Shot these shots this morning on my way out the door. I have been obsessed with neoprene material in clothing for a couple years now. I just love how structured and crisp the fabric looks. Picked this top up at asos a few months ago and I just love the bright white color and oversized, boxy fit. These Tabitha Simmons heels were a bargain find at Barneys. Purchased for a fraction of the full price, I felt like these were definitely meant to be. Don’t you just love when that happens!?

I feel like when the weekend arrives it’s an opportunity reboot, refresh, and restart. This week I felt rushed, overworked, and overtired, so I am looking forward to the weekend where I can gather myself and prepare for a better week ahead.

With this feeling comes a need for uncomplicated, simple looks like this one.

Don’t you love when a pair of heels can make the remainder of your look seemingly effortless? These heels are exactly that. A simple turtleneck sweater and my basic black pants and the look is complete. Schutz Shoes was born in Brazil and the brand creates shoes that are sexy but completely wearable.

Designed in unique and beautiful navy blue calfhair with navy leather straps, these heels are one of the favorite items in my closet to date! What do you guys think of them? How would you style them?

A Punch of Red

A punch of red is sometimes just the ticket! This Clare Vivier clutch is so beautiful – I love this clutch design. It comes in SO many colors and prints, it was hard to choose just one, but I have been on the lookout for the perfect lipstick red clutch, and this was it! So glad I got it! Be prepared to see this make an appearance many times on this blog from here on out.

Bought these Joie Floral Day Dreaming flats a couple days ago and just LOVE them (they’re on sale now!). Perfect for when you don’t feel like heels but aren’t feeling your standard run-of-the-mill black flats. I was admiring these flats last season but didn’t act on my impulse in time before they sold out. The top is a vintage Pendleton straight from my poppa’s closet. I love the plaid print and thought it mixed well with the floral print on the flats. What do you think?

Brisk Breeze

today’s closetcast: welcoming it all

Lots of shifts around here as I get back into the groove of things after a blissful three months with my little girl. Another shift is the welcomed change in weather. It has transitioned to fall so beautifully around my neck of the woods. It’s so lovely here by the coast this time of year. Brisk breeze, warm sun, and dancing evening light. There is a marked anticipation whenever the seasons shift and it’s no different this year.

Gearing up for a fun weekend with friends as we celebrate a wedding in a beautiful garden setting tomorrow. Can’t wait!

Hope everyone has a lovely weekend!!
