Decided on a skirt while stupidly listening to the weather report! A warm winter day was actually a cold one! I was definitely feeling a chill by the end of the day.

This GORGEOUS navy leather bag from Clare Vivier was a gift from my hubby for Christmas. It’s so luxurious and will definitely get a lot of use in the coming months. I am so into the navy color of the leather. It’s such a welcome change-up from black leather, but it’s just as much of a “neutral” to go with practically anything and everything. What do you guys think of the bag?

Splurge or Save?

Image

Which do you prefer? I love the faux fur front panel of both of these styles. One is just slightly less expensive than the other. With the ability to find your high-end designer pieces for less, do you opt to save or splurge?

For something trendy like this, I would say save and go with the Mango top on the right. One can’t be too sure how long a trend like this will last – or even if you will find many ways to wear a top like this. Though, in the defense of splurging, I am sure when both pieces are in front of you, you’ll be able to feel the luxury in the MSGM top on the left. Would you agree?

I thought I would start a new series like this featuring items of the high and low variety – what do you guys think? XX

Black & White

today’s closetcast: Sunday INSPO

Really feeling a black and white palette this morning. Don’t you just love how crisp and clean it looks? Even on a pair of sneakers, there is a certain formality to it that creates such a polished look. I am naturally drawn to these colors in silks, leathers, and mixed like that beautiful Haider Ackermann coat and those Veronika Maine pants. What do you guys think of this palette?

1. Topshop leather top; 2. Veronika Maine Dandelion pants; 3. Stephen Webster necklace; 4. Mango drop waist dress; 5. Haider Ackermann wool blend coat; 6. Saint Laurent two-tone penny loafers; 7. Givenchy Antigona bag; 8. Ganni Lavish blouse via Need Supply; 9. Nike Thea sneakers

So sorry for the radio silence on the blog the past week. I’ve been enjoying some downtime now that I am done with classes and work has mellowed out a touch. It’s been great and sometimes, especially now with this gigantic belly, you lose a bit of inspiration and you just need to take a step back.

I had a lovely weekend in Santa Barbara visiting family and friends and enjoying the beautiful weather. It’s always such a treat to head down south and soak up some rays and take in all the beauty that the town has to offer. Lots of time with friends, family, visiting the farmer’s market, walking around downtown, and going on some neighborhood walks and hikes made for a great weekend and the perfect way to start out my summer!
