Too Fast

today’s closetcast: overcast

That heading is in reference to the weekend and how it always goes by way too fast. Don’t you agree?

today’s closetcast:  added height

Don’t you love when a pair of heels can make the remainder of your look seemingly effortless? These heels are exactly that. A simple turtleneck sweater and my basic black pants and the look is complete. Schutz Shoes was born in Brazil and the brand creates shoes that are sexy but completely wearable.

Designed in unique and beautiful navy blue calfhair with navy leather straps, these heels are one of the favorite items in my closet to date! What do you guys think of them? How would you style them?

some beading and some brooding…

today’s closetcast: informal

The title of this post says it all doesn’t it? I swear I am a happy person, it’s just with these blog photos I feel like I am not one who has mastered the effortless, unposed smile and when I attempt it – it looks rather contrived. I instead come across as brooding… hopefully my shyness in front of the camera will change as I continue with this blog.

Now… on to the outfit! This look is mostly made up of pieces I’ve had in my closet and rediscovered. I’ve actually never worn this top before, though I’ve had it for months. I got it from asos, a true gem of a shopping destination. I swear I could spend hours perusing their selections of European brands and their own unique label. Trouble! But the top is this heavy-duty wool jumper with this crazy beading detail. The jeans are Mother and are so amazing in their fit, I haven’t taken them off since I bought them a couple of weeks ago!

What do you guys think of this look?

Zara Lookbook Fall 2013

today’s closetcast: empty wallet ImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImage

I just love the new Zara lookbook for Fall.

The Trafaluc collection is so reminiscent of the 90s and reminds me of back issues of Seventeen magazine when I was a tween. The granny length floral dresses, lace slip dresses, and ankle boots resemble a more refined and updated version of the wardrobe from my favorite television show when I was young, ‘My So-Called Life’.

The suiting in the Zara collection is gorgeous. The boxy swing jackets and pleated skirts seem reminiscent of Chloe collections from seasons past. While it’s never fun to have an entire closet full of clothing from one store, it will be hard to resist picking up many pieces from this Fall assortment!

What do you guys think of it?
