Sometimes all you need is a great fitting blazer, an “essential” handbag, a funky pair of brogues, and a dash of gold. Am I right?

While my wardrobe has simplified somewhat significantly since having a baby – I have always been drawn to the basics. I think it’s more of a challenge to make the pieces that you feel the most comfortable look chic. But comfort, sometimes, is the mood of the day.

J. Brand jeans are my go-to jean, I have quite a few pairs but always reach for these. They are worn in at the knees a bit and have just the right amount of stretch. The blazer is my mom’s from more than thirty years ago – vintage. It’s a traditional schoolboy blazer. The brogues were an impulse buy from H&M. The bag is my most favorite bag. I picked it up from Moda Operandi and it’s by designer Clare Vivier based out of Los Angeles. Just bought another clutch from her which I can’t wait to feature on the blog!!

I “Need” These…

One of my favorite online shops is Need Supply. Based out of Virginia, I’ve been a longtime customer for years. I love their selective assortment that focuses on details and cohesiveness. Though they have a wide variety of different designers, each season their collections all seem to flow together. The color range is subdued but never lacks on elements like a unique hemline (dress pictured here), an interesting cuff on an ankle boot (grey boot above) and a simple clutch with a band of color (above). They’ve turned me on to such innovative designers as Lonely Hearts, Wood Wood, Cold Picnic, and Just Female to name a few.

These are just some of the items I love from this shop. It’s hard to choose just one, or even this lot. I definitely recommend checking them out and stocking up for fall. I am so happy I picked up this beautiful leather top from them a few months back – it has been a go-to piece all summer long, and I know it will be fun to layer this fall/winter.

Which item is your favorite??

1. hat (now sold out but similar braided fedora here), 2. fringeship scarf, 3. Lonely Hearts Hunter dress, 4. Reality Studio Tilda shoe (they’re furry!), 5. Cold Picnic watch, 6. Wood Wood clutch, 7. Jeffrey Campbell Oriley boot, 8. Grid Skirt, 9. Babe sweater
