I feel like when the weekend arrives it’s an opportunity reboot, refresh, and restart. This week I felt rushed, overworked, and overtired, so I am looking forward to the weekend where I can gather myself and prepare for a better week ahead.

With this feeling comes a need for uncomplicated, simple looks like this one.

It’s been so crazy busy here at the ClosetCast camp, so I apologize for the lack in posting this past week. I’ll get back to normal this week – I promise!! How has everyone been?

I’ve been so overwhelmed by the influx of wonderful comments and support I have been receiving on the blog lately! It’s been so amazing. I love getting your comments and look forward to them as a highlight of my day – so keep them coming! XX

Now – to the outfit. I love the way the red on this sweatshirt pops against the sharp black and white graphic of these beautiful Joie pants. They are so comfortable too! They have such a cool, slouchy fit. I decided to wear them here with my funky Alexander Wang Caroline heels and a basic red sweatshirt from GAP. The Levi’s jacket is my papa’s from way back when. Sometimes you find a vintage piece and it becomes the perfect addition to your closet – don’t you think? I could never let go of this jacket!

Wore this look a couple days ago for one of those fall days where it isn’t hot, but not cold, either. I love this Topshop sweater. It was a sale find – bought on a whim – and I’m glad I did. I love how the graphic gives it such depth and texture. It will be fun to dress up with fall with some heavier fabrics and mix it with prints. The sandals are my Alexander Wang’s that I love so much. Compared to a couple other of his shoes I have, these are dreamy comfortable. I could wear them with everything! And so far, I almost have! Definitely worth the $$$ …

What do you guys think of this simple mid-week look?

Fall Palette

today’s closetcast: playing favorites

I am loving that fall is calling for a pastel, washed-out palette as I am usually drawn to these colors, despite the cooler temperatures. I have never been one to wear standard bold fall colors. I picked up these Kai-Aakman pants at my favorite boutique in town, Cameron Marks. Though not a favorite with my fella, I personally love a harem pant and these were no exception. Luxurious fabrics and the perfect fit – I do not regret this purchase one bit!!

What do you guys think?

It’s been a long time since I have done an outfit post – I apologize. It’s been a crazy few months. Going from a big belly to a beautiful baby taking its place – it’s been a whirlwind!

I picked up these Zara shorts when I was still pregnant and unable to fit in them. The Alexander Wang Anjelika heels are a pair of those gorgeous nude and neutral heels that you can just wear with everything. Plus they give my legs that length that I love – perfect with a pair of high-waisted shorts that add length already. The purse is a beauty by Clare Vivier, one of my favorites ever, and is personalized via a custom design from Moda Operandi.

What are you guys getting into this weekend? XO
