today’s closetcast: what bride?

Solange Knowles Marries Alan Ferguson - Wedding Day

Forever a fan of Jenna Lyons. Worn to Solange Knowles’ highly instagrammed New Orleans wedding, this gorgeous look is so hands-down beautiful, I had to come out of the blogging woodwork to do a post about it. While everyone was admiring the bride, here glides in Jenna Lyons in a gorgeous full length feather skirt, crisp white shirt, dreamy fur jacket, and leopard clutch. Wait… what bride? I forgot about her too. I think this look could even work for a modern day, unconventional bride. That skirt is absolute heaven. What do you guys think?

Just a few of my favorite shots from the recent Christian Dior Resort Collection in Brooklyn earlier this week. These tailored pieces make spending time in an office infinitely more glamorous. What’s better? These looks would go easily from day to night. So, that makes them worthy investments, right? RIGHT!

As life starts to get a bit crazy in the next few months, this weekend I took some time off to really enjoy what is around me. That meant taking in the beautiful weather, enjoying some lazy strolls and afternoon pints, and seeing good friends.

The Dress

today’s closetcast: stripes in spring

When I saw this dress on Topshop, I knew I had to have it. And when it arrived in the mail a month or so ago, I fell so much more in love with it! The construction is with this thick and heavyweight satin material that gives the dress it’s shape and form.

All in all, I think this will be a staple in my closet. I know it will be easy to dress up, so I opted to feature it here with a casual look. My trusty (and ancient) monk loafers are always a go-to when I want to look polished and slightly preppy. The green handbag was a vintage find.

What do you guys think of this look?

XO!
