today’s (actually saturday) closetcast: country flare
Headed out to the quaint town of Moss Landing for some oysters and a little antique hunting. The antique shops left a little to be desired, but the oysters were delish! It was so hot this past weekend – this outfit was regretted a few minutes after these shots were taken. The boots, the suede skirt… all wrong. I changed quickly once I got home and sat on our shady porch waiting for it to cool down.
skirt: F21, top: Kate Moss for Topshop; denim shirt: H&M
today’s closetcast: fog-free
Had a little beachside picnic last night to clear my head. Threw on my trusted oversized woolly sweater for some wine and cheese and a beautiful view. It was a glorious evening – no fog, warm sun and very few people out on the beach. One of the many advantages to living in California are evenings like this in the middle of October.
sweater: L.L. Bean, shorts: Vintage Wrangler, rings: vintage
today’s closetcast: slightly undone
Kind of obsessed with how well this shirt hangs. It has the look of being tailored, but once you throw it on, it’s all slouch. Theyskens’ Theory wedges. Gorgeous Gorgeous Gorgeous. So in love. Towering height, a pointed toe and criss-cross straps. LOVE.
top: H&M, shoes: Theyskens’ Theory
today’s closetcast: homage to doily
Pretty much love lace in any form – but like mixing it up with something moderately unexpected – just to look a little undone.
The t-shirt is an old favorite that I’ve had for years from a great company everyone should know called, Rxmance. I discovered Rxmance when I lived in San Diego around seven years ago and I’ve been a supporter ever since. I’ve never really been a big t-shirt wearer, but I would wear Rxmance to the end! The screenprints are artistic, are cast upon the softest fabrics, and are anything but ordinary.
t-shirt: Rxmance find here and here; skirt: H&M Conscious Collection; shoes: Jeffrey Campbell
today’s closetcast: staying calm
Didn’t intentionally mean to have this not be a face/smiling/portrait type post – but just turned out that way this morning. I rushed to take these pics, because, as usual, I was running late. It seemed like everything I needed to get out the door was hiding from me.
I love this shirt. It has a really unique shape that I like, and the split detail at the back is lovely. Thought the unusual off-white, latte, beige-ish color went well with this rust suede skirt. Don’t know how it happens, but seems that the weather shift has me gravitating towards warmer shades.
