a foggy brunch

today’s closetcast: down to the basics

When it comes to my hair I’m a lost cause. Rather than attempt to style my hair down (I’m overdue for a trim), I opted to tied it up into a tangled braided top bun, courtesy of DIY instructions from A Cup of Jo. While not nearly as neat as the girl pictured, it did the trick and cleaned everything up simply.

I wanted to add a personal touch to this otherwise basic look so I added a few large vintage rings I have picked up over the years. Most of from my mom’s old collection. All in all, a comfortable look perfect for brunching during a sleepy and foggy Sunday morning.

top: fluxus, wide-leg jeans: uniqlo, belt: vintage, purse: marc by marc jacobs, sandals: ecote via urban outfitters (find similar styles here), rings: vintage

  1. I absolutely love your rings…where do you shop for jewlery?

    • Hi there! Thanks for your comments, the majority of my rings I pick up at vintage/estate stores and antique shops. It takes time, but that’s part of the fun!
