today’s closetcast: pep in my step
I always feel a little sluggish mid-week, but there is so much to look forward to this weekend. One of my best friend’s is getting married and it should be an amazing time. Can’t wait for the weekend (as usual)!
Love this skirt from Style by Marina and thought it might look fun contrasted next to a polka dot blouse I recently picked up from GAP. It’s slightly oversized, I got it a size bigger to make it have more draped appearance. As I slipped on these flats I realized I really need to invest in a few new pairs for the fall. And believe me, I have PLENTY of ideas…

today’s closetcast: summertime hue
For many of us here, today is kind of like a Friday because of the 4th of July celebration tomorrow. Planning an impromptu barbecue and hanging with some close friends. Hopefully the fog stays away so that we can watch some fireworks!

today’s closetcast: bundled up
Comfortable dressing for a chilly day. A nice angora sweater, oversized denim shirt and my favorite J. Crew riding pants make for a classic look that I don’t have to think twice about.
The jacket is from Uniqlo’s +J collection, made from super warm down. Usually down pieces are shapeless and rather frumpy, but I like how this jacket has a chic shape to it. I love the three-quarter length sleeves, a cropped swing body and oversized hood.
