Playing the Part

today’s closetcast: fun little Saturday ImageImageImageImageImage

Back in late December, my friend Victor Samuel of Victor M. Samuel Photography asked me if I would like to collaborate with him on a fun little fashion shoot. I assured him that I, under no circumstances, thought of myself as a model, but thought it would be fun regardless! I have to say, getting my hair and makeup done by the lovely Carrie Aldous was amazing! She was such a pro and made me feel so glamorous! Victor is so talented and made me feel so comfortable even though I am the exact opposite in situations like this!

Even though this blog puts me in front of the camera a few times a week, I usually have the shots away from passersby view because I am so shy! How do you guys think I did? Hope you enjoy the shots!

As I struggle to layer as much as I can whilst looking moderately fashionable, I fell in love with these gorgeous photos via Fashion Gone Rogue (one of my favorite sites for killer fashion editorials). I couldn’t really fathom slipping any of these gorgeous items on right now – it’s freezing outside – but I’m loving the romantic vibe and the total impracticality of it all. True romance … wouldn’t you agree?

On a side note, I just wanted to say a BIG Thank You to all of my wonderful readers! You guys make blogging fun – I love getting all of your comments and suggestions – please keep them coming!

Sweet Shelter

today’s closetcast: interior dreaming

Love these gorgeous shots by photographer Vidir Geirsson. Isn’t this living space just amazing? So much natural light. I’m especially drawn to the egg dining chairs with the steel legs – sort of that perfect mix between danish modern and industrial.  Those wood plank floors are just gorgeous too. So beautiful!

Dreamy Seas

today’s closetcast: anywhere but here

It’s a beautiful day today, and these pictures perfectly fit my mood. Sort of feeling a little overwhelmed by the events of the next couple weeks and these worry free images are soothing me a bit. Wouldn’t it be nice to transport to the open sea for a day of pure relaxation on a sailboat?
