today’s closetcast: edgy tailoring
A nice pencil skirt can really add some curves, but there is something so stuffy about a head to toe “office-friendly” look. I mellowed out the business-like air of this tailored pencil skirt with the addition of a sherpa suede motorcycle jacket and a pair of suede ankle booties. I really like how the neutral skirt makes my black t-shirt and boots look like a vibrant color.

today’s closetcast: tired
Slow start back into the work week – I can’t believe that the holidays are already over. I always get a little sad when we take down the Christmas tree, but now it’s time to look forward to an exciting 2012!
An oversized button-down shirt and some heels/sandals/booties seemed like a great choice this morning. A little chilly, but hopefully should warm up. I am slightly worried about no rain the entire month of December – but I’m sure the rain will come. Sort of look forward to it actually… sometimes I feel so spoiled in California, it’s nice to have some “real” weather.

today’s closetcast: crystal
Wish I could get a better picture of the blouse and pants – maybe I’ll save it for another post. The blouse is in this lightweight twill fabric with a cowl-neck that doesn’t quite cowl. Looks kind of like a stylish straightjacket. The pants I have featured before but for some reason, the navy blue velvet (the best part!) never seems to come out in photos as well as I hope.
