Made by Betty

today’s closetcast: thrifted

The inside label of this skirt says “Made by Betty”. I have no idea who Betty is, but she makes an adorable skirt. I found this funky beauty at one of my favorite thrift stores in town. I hemmed it a touch to hit at the calf, and needs a bit of adjusting on the darts – but I haven’t had time to make those changes quite yet.

Had to take photos out on the porch today – it was pouring! I am really enjoying this sudden shift in the weather. Happy rainy Monday everyone!

Chill

today’s closetcast: crocheted

Woke up to a nice chill in the air this morning. Took a nice walk to get some coffee at Verve and thought I’d break out my new crochet sweater from Threadsence. I think it will be a fun piece that will test my skills in versatility!

I have some errands to run today, but I’m hoping for some downtime to check out the latest shows for NYFW. I have been loving all the streetstyle shots and runway shows that have been posted on blogs thus far – such amazing looks!

If you have some time off today, check out my Facebook page here and click “like”! Hope everyone is enjoying their Sunday! XO

Wolf Like Me

today’s closetcast: poser

My newest bargain purchase are these leather pants. I have been coveting different pairs since the start of fall, but haven’t been able to stomach the huge expense to bring them home. Through an act of serendipity, I found these at Nordstrom Rack for an insanely good price.  They make me feel like a rockstar, though I am the furthest from that.

Paired once again with the Jeffrey Campbell Rumi boots from Dear Fieldbinder, these boots just can’t go wrong with any look. The wolf sweater is a new addition – I love the oversized fit.

Cut Out

today’s closetcast: mixed up

This dress is actually more suitable for a night out – but I thought I would try to make it more day-friendly by slipping a favorite v-neck tee underneath it. The side cutouts are the best feature of the dress and sort of saves it from being another boring flippy version of the essential little black dress.
