today’s closetcast: heatwave!

Thought these funky printed pants would be perfect for an extremely hot Monday! Picked these up in Japan at La Foret, Harajuku’s shopping mecca. They are so fun aren’t they? They have this slight harem fit and a carrot leg – in other words, very Japanese. Despite this crazy heatwave, the lightweight material on these pants keeps me cool despite the fact that they are pants.

How was everyone’s weekend? I went on a camping trip to hang out with some special friends, enjoyed the sunshine, hit up my local farmers market, and did some gardening for a few hours. All in all, a great weekend! XO

A Day Late…

today’s closetcast: slouchy and sheer

This is actually what I wore yesterday – unfortunately I was running around too much yesterday and didn’t have time to post. I got these pants ages ago in Japan – slouchy, oversized pants are big (no pun intended) amongst Japan’s young fashionistas and they were still very much dominating the boutiques in Harajuku, much to the chagrin of my fella. Ah, well… I love them. The blouse is H&M and has a fun beaded collar. I didn’t get a very good pic of them unfortunately, but no doubt you will see this top again.

Harem

today’s closetcast: laid back\


Snapped a few quick shots this morning as I was running out the door. Sorry for the last one being a bit blurry, but I wanted to get a shot of the jacket. A seemingly basic look is upgraded slightly by the addition of unique details: the foldover detail on the pants, the grommet madness on the suede jacket, and the funky look of these heels.
