Summer Break
today’s closetcast: easy peasy 
So sorry for the radio silence on the blog the past week. I’ve been enjoying some downtime now that I am done with classes and work has mellowed out a touch. It’s been great and sometimes, especially now with this gigantic belly, you lose a bit of inspiration and you just need to take a step back.
I had a lovely weekend in Santa Barbara visiting family and friends and enjoying the beautiful weather. It’s always such a treat to head down south and soak up some rays and take in all the beauty that the town has to offer. Lots of time with friends, family, visiting the farmer’s market, walking around downtown, and going on some neighborhood walks and hikes made for a great weekend and the perfect way to start out my summer!

The Met Gala
today’s closetcast: soft and detailed
I love the Met Gala. Last night’s show had a punk theme “PUNK: From Chaos to Couture”. While many dressed outside of the box into more what I would consider costume, I loved Rooney Mara’s choice of Givenchy for the event. She was the first to arrive, and yet, after viewing all the other attendees, I could not get her dress out of my mind. It was an instant favorite. In a sea of studs, leather, gold and brocade, this soft, white lace concoction was so refreshing. At least in my opinion. The details are incredible: zippers at the waist and front closure that go all around the neckline, the sexy center opening, and the amazing lace. So gorgeous. Ahhh!! To wear that dress, even for just one night would be a dream!

Currently Coveting…
today’s closetcast: with a view
More feasible than those Saint Laurent boots I have been vying for (that are also currently sold out! – sad face), these amazing heels from L’Agence with a shiny clear PVC “windows” and major graphic accents are a bit more budget feasible. Still pricey, but oh.so.gorgeous!
