Busy Bee

today’s closetcast: crochet queen

My first official day of summer (summer school is over!) so I am pretty excited! I’ve got lots of fun planned this weekend with different friends coming into town and the 4th on Wednesday. Should be a nice sunny weekend by the beach! Can’t wait! What are your plans for the weekend? XO

Sunshine Day!

today’s closetcast: breezy prints

Sorry for the lack of posts this week! I have been a busy bee!!

I have been searching far and wide for these gorgeous Maurie & Eve pants and I finally found them on eBay! Lovely lovely lovely. The Bowie pant sold out in like two blinks in Australia and are even harder to find here in the states.

Maurie & Eve is one of my favorite new labels. I look forward to every line… I just wish their collections were a touch easier to find here in the states. That’s why I’m so happy these pants made it all the way from beautiful Australia into my sunny California closet. I will definitely be getting plenty of wear out of these during our summer!

pants: Maurie & Eve, blazer: J. Crew, heels: Zara, top with studded collar: H&M, jewelry: random, vintage, Gorjana and Dannijo

today’s closetcast: under the weather

Feeling a little under the weather – sorry for my absence yesterday! While I am not feeling up to a personal post, a little sickness has never stopped me from adding some gorgeous items to my ever-expanding fashion wishlist. Here are some items I am currently swooning over from the dangerous and oh-so-fabulous Moda Operandi. (I may or may not have already bit the bullet on one of these items… stay tuned!)

top to bottom: Joseph blazer, Joseph fatigue skort, 10 Crosby Jumbo Plaid blouse, Carven Map of Paris suit (le sigh), 10 Crosby Check Slim Pant

Moto-Tweed

today’s closetcast: miniature

Have been waiting to wear this Zara motorcycle jacket for a while now. Don’t you just love the floral tweed? It’s such a refined print and material, but in a slightly masculine silhouette. I thought it would go great with my trusty Dannijo Mr. Aram collar necklace – the perfect mix of feminine and edge… what do you think?

Overcast

today’s closetcast: business casual

This weekend I felt a little trapped in the lovely little beach town we live in. The weather just over the hill was oppressive so all the tourists rightfully swarmed in to cool off – but it just made going anywhere in town near to impossible. Nonetheless, it was great to have some amazing sunshine this weekend, sort of unusual as we are usually clouded with June Gloom. Luckily it stayed away until Monday – I’m not complaining as I had to work.

Thought I’d pair this gorgeous Equipment silk blouse with my trust hunter green cardigan to make sure I don’t look too “matchy”.
