Wolf Like Me

today’s closetcast: poser

My newest bargain purchase are these leather pants. I have been coveting different pairs since the start of fall, but haven’t been able to stomach the huge expense to bring them home. Through an act of serendipity, I found these at Nordstrom Rack for an insanely good price.  They make me feel like a rockstar, though I am the furthest from that.

Paired once again with the Jeffrey Campbell Rumi boots from Dear Fieldbinder, these boots just can’t go wrong with any look. The wolf sweater is a new addition – I love the oversized fit.

Genie

today’s closetcast: baggy

My fella thinks that these pants make me look like a genie – I guess it’s the semi-harem thing they have going on. I wanted to show off the cummerbund type waistband on these pants so I opted to pair them with a simple t-shirt.

The t-shirt is by Market, a San Francisco based company that makes t-shirts that you essentially want to live in. It’s so hard to find a great fitting tee that you can dress up or down, but Market tees are it. So great! I picked mine up at Stripe, an adorable boutique in downtown Santa Cruz.

Patched

today’s closetcast: imitation

Not quite the real thing, but pretty darn close, this shirt is the next best thing for those who adored the Isabel Marant Patchwork Denim shirt, but didn’t have the spare $565 laying around to take it home.

Blacked Out

today’s closetcast: covered

I of course leave my holiday shopping to the last minute – but was able to score some great gifts…. Keeping it mellow this year for the holidays – I like to just relax and watch those family holiday movies I grew up watching.

Loving this oversized sweater, especially digging the unique hemline – sort of resembles an unfinished bodysuit or something – but it definitely works, in my opinion. Kept it simple and let the textured knit and hem sort of steal the show. Everything else I tried on seemed too busy.

Once again the Jeffrey Campbell Rumi booties from Dear Fieldbinder. I think they have magically glued to my feet. I keep checking out the amazing selection at Dear Fieldbinder and know once the holidays are over I’ll be adding to my closet in no time. Currently loving this, this, this, this, and these… see? So much to love.

Treats

today’s closetcast: chilled out

After a few months of some hard work in school, I figured I could treat myself to a practical gift that will get some major use this winter. Picked up these boots – with very little time to think them over. I’m glad I didn’t hesitate, these sold out so fast! Dear Fieldbinder is one of my favorite online stops and these booties were just screaming my name. Western influence with an urban edge.
